It happens to the best! Fedor Emelianenko has lost his first match since 2000, in his home sport, samba, on home soil in Russia. The person that managed to pull it off is the Bulgarian Blagoi Ivanov, who is only 23 years old.

Fedor can justify his loss with the fact that it was in points, and that he managed to knockout the youngster near the end, but this only reduced his loss. In the end it was 8:4, and Ivanov was leading 8:1 at one point.

The Russian ended third in the end, and people have already started to analyse the reasons for his loss. He was occupied with recording the film “Fifth Execution”, in which the famous Michael Madsen will appear.

This is why he did not have enough time for real training, and what happened, happened.

The same thing also happened to Cro Cop, when he fell in form when he recorded a film and entered politics, because it is a too strenuous and dangerous sport for relaxing. Fedor has certainly thought about this well, because losing for the first time in eight years is certainly not easy. However, it is easier, in the financial and reputational aspect, that this did not happen in a MMA fight.

Ivanov has decorated himself in gold after this win, and his name will stand next to Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, who managed to do the same in Ultimate Fight when Fedor received a hit, after which he could not stop bleeding.
